Chanel Spring 2009 Bags

The Spring 2009 bags from the venerable fashionable house of Chanel are simply irresistible. Chanel is the icon of Parisian chic and high-style for women who are sure of themselves. Carrying something from Chanel sets one apart from the flock. Over the past few years, the brand has been trying to appeal more to younger audience as opposed to only to the ladies who lunch. I love this collection very much because it is so much fun, young yet still well put together with a hint of jokes. Notice how the classic flap bag has been redone in Chanel-signature tweed, how the shopping bags in leather draw inspiration from paper bags and lastly how the classic flap in leather has been re-oriented to portrait. Best thing is, Chanel rarely follows trends. The house either sets one sometimes or mostly produce classic pieces so when you buy into a Chanel, you could use it forever.

Fendi “Undone Birkin” Spring/ Summer 2009

The “undone Birkin” is what the WWD magazine has dubbed Fendi’s newest offering for Spring Summer 2009 handbag. I can’t wait for the collection to be available at Fendi stores as i am curious to see how to rock this bag without disclosing what is inside too much. The last time Fendi sent out a bag that created buzz was B and it has been 2 years since then. Will this bag, also dubbed the “Kangaroo Pouch” by style.com be as popular as its predecessor? And i do hope they have a good name for this bag too.
