David Beckham might need to work hard to prove that he is still worthy of playing in the European soccer arena again but he does not need to prove to anyone his impeccable sense of style. The uber cool soccer start is seen in this picture, just landed in the airport in Bremen, Germany yesterday with his Louis Vuitton trolley suitcase. The Taiga Pégase is understated and sharp just like the dashing suit and skinny tie David is wearing here. Louis Vuitton Taiga Pégase is available in size 50 (USD2,530) and 60 (USD3,030). Available at your nearest Vuitton stores or eluxury.com.

The Valentino Maison studded tote reached the “It” status last year, repeatedly spotted being toted by the girls in ‘Gossip Girls’ and the women in ‘Lipstick Jungle’ in various colors, too many, i lost track after the red and the white. This combo of brown body and black handle is interesting but it reminded me of a Philip Lim tote with the same color combo, in a good way since i remember liking that bag too. The thing about this bag is it costs USD700 more than the patent leather version. Would you pay that much more for the exact same bag minus the glossy checmical coating? The leather must be buttery soft, i am sure, but i would rather stick to the patent version, in a more exciting color such as turquoise and put the extra USD700 elsewhere. This one is available at Bergdorf for USD2,495 if you prefer the natural.

Hello pretty! I have become pretty suspicious of Marc Jacob’s Spring/ Summer 2009 bag collection after my most recent post on the Amazon shoulder bag but this bag is totally different in a very very good way. Simple flap bags like this have been making a come-back with big designers (see Lanvin and Dior) and this Marc’s piece is easily a winner. You see the purple and green metallic details woven onto the quilted leather? Those are actually leather! How interesting is that? This bag is perfect – pretty, interesting, trendy and the tassels and the padlock work without making the whole bag look overdecorated. This is the hottest piece of Marc Jacobs bag i have seen so far for this season. Available at eluxury.com now for USD1,995. Well done, Marc!

Valentino bags have been making scenes a lot lately and i have to say they are generally good. Look at this Fleur Satchel for instance. There is no need of logo print or hardware yet this bag stands out. Love the color, love the simple design, the rose details and the varnished pearlized effect on the leather. This beauty is available in flesh pink (shown above) which is extremely rare for bags and hot red that is beyond description so see for yourself here. Available in Bergdorf Goodman now for USD1,495.

Prada Spring/ Summer 2009 bags finally arrived! Miuccia dissed the dressy, put-together look of Prada she has been holding on to for the past few seasons and settled on a grab-and-go look for the next season. The thing about Prada is, the result is rarely derivative. This leather bow satchel looks pretty ridiculous with its mismatched color and oversized bow at one glance and then it becomes pretty cool after a while like being different without trying hard or being pretentious. I am impartial about this bag. The design is almost too simple except for the leather bow at one side. At the other side, the bag appears somewhat whimsical and slowly becoming. Does this Prada justify its price tag of USD1,450? Available at Saks.

Betsey Johnson’s designs might come across “over the top” to some but there is another side of her that is more refined and yet still not too serious. This flap bag is such a beautiful bag. It has the Hermes Birkin kinda shape yet there are details that are fun and young such as the big drawstings at its side pockets. I particularly like the Ivory-gold color but the black-pink and grey-crimson are interesting in their own ways too. The price? Even better! At only USD345 at Nordstrom, wear it like a Birkin with the flap tucked inside. I think of it as the Birkin for teens (teenkin?). No worry, there is no age ceiling to own one though…Everyone deserves to have some fun once a while.

I understand that being diffferent is important but what was on Donatella’s mind when she designed this bag? I dun get it, i want to but i just could not, no matter how many times i study it. It is like an alien in the world of handbags. If you like this bag somehow, go for it! It is one of a kind anyway. Oh… there is another problem. The price is not exactly cheap at USD4,395. Available at eluxury.com now.
