The Gucci New Jackie is very covetable despite its relatively expensive price. I adore the bag for its slouch, big size and boho glam style. Salma Hayek and Sienna Miller have very different style from one another but apparently both found a common interest in this beautiful updated classic. Seen here is Salma with her Coral red leather while Sienna is with white leather version. Gucci New Jackie comes with more than 20 different variations of materials and styling. Gucci New Jackie is available at Bergdorf Goodman starting from USD2,100.

Hermes Pocket Organizer in Green Alligator
I just can’t resist the shade of green that is so rich, so beautiful and irresistible, it is a torture not to have this in my bag. I am not even organized person and my Blackberry serves more than enough as a reliable organizer, as and when needed, but this is truly something else. Object of lust, you may call. Then, it opens to…
See the Alligator with its teeth? It is this kind of things that keep Hermes on top of the game. LOVE…

Gucci Ostrich Hobo Bag
Gucci might be best known for its iconic GG logo in the form of fabric print or leather emboss but the house actually makes among the best leather goods in the world, incuding exotics. As a matter of fact, Gucci and Hermes are among the few houses who own their own crocodile farm which makes them very unpopular with PETA and animal lovers. While the iconic GG has a special spot in my heart, Gucci’s plain leather goods rarely fail to make a way in either. Look at this pre-loved Ostrich Hobo bag in tan. The bag is simple and luxurious and the Ostrich texture adds the glam factor in a very subdued way. This is a very rare piece in such a good condition and price that is irresistible for Ostrich. Available on Fashionphile for USD1,550. This is almost a robbery!

Hermes Medor 23 in Royal Blue Alligator
I am not the one who coins terms loosely but in the Kingdom of clutches, this might just be the Queen. Hermes Medor 23 Clutch in Royal Blue Smoothed Alligator fits to be the clutch for the Royalties. This “lady” does not come cheap, of course. It will set you back by at least USD17,000 but just like a King needs a Queen, a woman needs a clutch like this.

Hermes Marwari Bag
Once in a while when i feel that i have been very very good, i will reward myself by doing something bad such as walking into a Hermes store and walk out poorer with an orange paper bag. Admittedly this does not happen often but I have so far bought an orange Epson cardholder (which i love to the core, can’t live without and best investment ever!) and black Padova bracelet. The thing about my Hermes purchases is i never planned for one and it turns out to be the best.
When i passed by Takashimaya Hermes store last weekend, i was distracted by a bag that i hope to end up with next. Afterall, one should start adding a bag from Hermes into one’s humble collection somehow, no? The distracting bag is Hermes Marwari and the one i tried on was in full rich brown leather (I think Togo). The Marwari is so gorgeous that i literally did not really care much about the fact that there was a SGD17,400 Birkin 50 available in store without wait-list. Will I do anything bad again anytime soon? It depends on how very very good i will be for the next few months. We’ll see… the Hermes section of my wardrobe is still awefully empty. Maybe when i visit HK next in November? I am flushing orange just thinking about it.
Prada Women Resort 2010 Preview
Prada Resort 2010 is truly like a vacation, a break from everything “work” and all about casual, nice and fun. The collection is colorful in pastels and prints and the arm candies are simple and irresistible too, especially those bags in Ostrich. If Prada were any indication, shoes will not take back stage either and like i have said time and time again, they are indeed the new IT bags.

Bottega Veneta Men Spring 2010 Preview
Tomas Maier made sure that the Bottega Veneta men Spring 2010 collection is nothing short of covetable bags. Seriously, i could take all the bags on the runway anytime, if only i were one of those people who do not need to work to live, eat, travel and shop. I am digging the hairdos on the models too and the tie-dye shirt with the matching brown pull-over too. See the military green jacket there? Maier might have just outdone his past self with this collection.

Hermes Birkin 50 @ Hermes Takashimaya Singapore
Pharrell Williams’ purple croc HAC might be one of the most expensive bags i dun like. There is one thing about being over-the-top glam but being just OVER is another. Did Hermes decide to make the bag just because Williams is an ultra famous and rich hip hop star? I hope not. The bag is more like a HAC-look-alike than a real HAC, except that it is real and must have cost a bomb to commoners. Anyway, if you happen to be hunting for Hermes Birkin 50 in dark blue (shade is similar to the picture i featured above, except that the picture is size 30), there is one available in the Takashimaya Singapore store now. Price? Just SGD17,400. It is considered reasonable without the wait-list. I think someone who had placed the order dropped it. Would you be kind enough to “adopt” it? Believe me, if moolah is not an issue, i will take the dark blue Birkin in much more dignified calf than Williams’ purple croc anytime. Contact Fandi at Hermes Takashimaya at (65)67355228.
PS: Sorry, i was too distracted by another bag that i forgot to take picture of the Birkin 50

ION Orchard Singapore
Finally i visited ION Orchard yesterday and while the interior design and arrangement of the mall is pretty much a let-down mainly due to its small walking space and big crowds, the shops are exciting and some are long due to arrive in Singapore. Taking the mall front are Prada, Louis Vuitton, Dior, Dolce & Gabbana, Cartier and Giorgio Armani and once inside, we have Valentino, Ferragamo, YSL, Dquared (first in Singapore), Car Shoe, Miu Miu, Zegna, Bally and many more on the first level. On the second level, Church’s and Herve Leger are due for opening. Burberry’s store is impressive and big, next to the Harry Winston and Boucheron. Up to the third level we have Longchamp, Furla and 6Five Barcode which carries about 20 brands including Costume National, Galliano, MCM, Just Cavalli and Roccobarocco. Overall, the mall is a nice addition to Singapore’s beloved Orchard Road but the lack of a big upscale department store such as Harvey Nichols or Barneys and the small walking space between shops on the first and second floor is making the mall itself less impressive than its awesome exterior.
Burberry ION-exclusive Exotic Products
Never before in Singapore a shopping mall opening attracted so much interest from international shoppers, media and brand names. Then again, this is the best thing that has happened to Orchard Road over the past decade. ION Orchard is exactly what Singapore Orchard Road desperately needed to reclaim its status as one of the most loved shopping belt in Asia. After Louis Vuitton opening its door to the biggest Vuitton store in the region on 2 July 2009, Burberry just did the same earlier this week and launched a highly limited-edition collection of exotic products to commemorate the store opening. The collection consists of handbags, wallets, cardholders and belts with prices started from SGD400 for cardholders and SGD1,985 for handbags. Unlike Vuitton’s ION collection which dissapointingly consisted only of one bag, the Burberry’s ION collection indeed satisfied my cravings and left me wanting them badly. Bad news is, each piece is limited to only like 3 pieces. If you like it, you’ve got to jump. I am so going to ION tomorrow.
