Nina Ricci Bag Collection On On Pedder
We featured a bag from Olivier Theysken’s last collection for Nina Ricci carried by Uma Thurman last month and since then I have been on pursuit of more bags from the house. On Pedder brings in the immaculate bag collection that, in my opinion, should make the house re-deliberate on their decision of letting Theysken go. The bags, as far as what I am seeing here, are AWESOME!!! Theysken must be a romantic person as his works are definitely so. Stay tune for more features on Nina Ricci.

Be & D Ludlow Leather Tote
If you are into studded bags but do not like one overdone, the Be & D Ludlow leather tote is worth a serious consideration. The Ludlow has all the cool and edgy elements I like from the Be & D. The bag is also convertible between a tote and a shoulder bag, made of thick leather and lined with colorful pop-art printed cotton, which offers a refreshing contrast with its exterior. Balenciaga Work Raisin at HGBags

What Were They Thinking? – Gucci Teddy Bear Nylon Tote
Ok, what went through Frida Giannini’s mind when she designed or approved this tote for production? Maybe she hinted that she wanted a baby? Fine, it is cute, the Teddy bear serves as the compartment for the tote when folded and when not, it is the oversized charm that serves as an extra compartment too but will you buy this? Maybe as a gift to a newborn but at GBP205, it is not that cute to me. Available in black, brown green if you beg to differ from my take.

The September Issues
Vogue or Elle? September is the January in fashion and so technically we are stepping into a new year in a few days time. Jennifer Aniston is the cover girl for Elle while Charlize Theron is Vogue’s. Both are among the most refined ladies of Hollywood with very different persona and I think, match the magazine each is on. Love both issues!

Gucci Python Galaxy Large Shoulder Bag
I am pretty sure that this bag will be outdated after the Fall/Winter 2009 so if you are a looking for one that will still be in style for the next few seasons, this is not it. But by itself, it is a pretty bag with the green shades on the softened Python leather body. I had initially thought that the shoulder strap was hardware but upon closer inspection, i realized that it is actually single braided leather forming a chain, which means pretty friendly to your shoulder. Overall, the shape is actually simple, even bordering classic. It is just the details and the color that makes this bag look seasonal. If you lose the chain at the side of the bag after the next season, you might be able to keep this and use it more frequently in the future. Problem is I dun think the decorative chain at the side is detachable. Then again, if you are one of those uber-fashionistas who do not mind spending GBP2,480 on a seasonal bag, go ahead! It is not a bad deal for a nicely done full python shoulder bag from big name like Gucci.

Renee Zellweger with Fall 2009 Hermes Birkin
We featured the runway preview of the Fall 2009 Hermes Birkin back in March 2009 and now Renee Zellweger is seen carrying one in the signature orange. Admittedly, I prefer the classic Birkin for its “older” classy look and feel. I dun know about you but to me, the one Renee is carrying here looks more like an awkward Birkin-look-alike. Perhaps I will change my take upon seeing one in real life but as of now, I take the classic anytime.
