Anya Hindmarch Bespoke opens. This is the very reason Anya opened her business to begin with – to create pieces very personal to the clients which could be passed down as family heirloom to their grandchildren. This means, you could have a bag, created just for you, to suit your own needs and taste. The bag will bear your name instead of Anya’s. At this point of time, the service is only available at the first store at 15-17 Point Street, London so do make it a point to visit the store if London is your next stop point. Meanwhile, if you are not looking for anything Bespoke just for you just yet, the Minton Leather shoulder bag is beautiful, classy and Made in Italy for a mere USD695.

Yay or Nay? – Jimmy Choo PVC Ramona Tote

Will you ever buy a transparent PVC designer bag? Turned out Jimmy Choo made one Ramona and I really dun know what to figure out of this. The Ramona is not exactly a beach bag material to begin with. I will say I love the bright yellow color but the plastic and nylon straps in place of the hardwares and the leather straps? The original price was USD1,750 which was like “WTF???”. Even with 52% off at USD836.99, will you get it if you have the moolah?

My Own Anya Hindmarch “I’m Not a Plastic Bag”

This is my Anya Hindmarch “I’m Not a Plastic Bag”. I know that the craze has died down long time ago but this bag is still a keeper to me. Great for carrying groceries for picnic or yatch sailing. I first saw this on US Vogue like months before it was released and was trying all my luck to get myself one. There was no way to get one in Asia or US so I had to pull some strings (trust me, I dun have many to begin with) before managing to get myself one from London.

Like it or not, people still remember Anya Hindmarch mostly by this baby.

Prada New Store at Corso Venezia Milan

Prada is on hyper expansion mode or what? In Singapore alone, we are waiting for the ION store to open while the Paragon store will get an extension (taking over the YSL space). Miu Miu Paragon will also take Ralph Lauren’s space while the new store just opened in ION. I received an update from Prada on the new store opening in Corso Venezia Milan a couple of days ago. Anyway, I still look forward to seeing the highly anticipated Prada Spring 2010 collection in stores in a few month’s time. Check out the preview here!

Can You Keep a Secret?

I had always considered the Fendi Secret Code bag as overly trendy and pricey despite the fact that it is unique and extremely well made (trust me, I was given an opportunity to “play” with the bag myself). I am a sucker for anything vintage-inspired and naturally the bag stuck with me but like I said, I had thought  that it was too trendy and would be over soon. That was until I saw it in this gorgeous blue color mink-patterned calfskin material. I think I need to highly recommend this bag now. The small size is now available at bluefly.com for USD1,768 (20% off original price USD2,210). Slap me!

Kate Spade ‘boerum hill – geraldine’

I can’t seem to get this bag out of my head since I first saw  it last month at the newly renovated Takashimaya Kate Spade store. It could be the color (beautiful shade of green called Verde) or the shape or the size and the design. The boerum hill-geraldine (I dun like the name tho…) also available in black, brown and gorgeous yellow. Anyway, this is one of the best bags under USD500 I have seen in a long time and I think it is worth high recommendation. Available at most Kate Spade stores or Nordstrom for USD425. Excellent deal indeed!!!

MICHAEL Michael Kors Astor Patchwork Satchel

I am not a big fan of patchworks and studs are so in now they are almost out but this satchel from MICHAEL Michael Kors are somehow impossibly beautiful and more stylish rather than trendy. I think the Astor would still be easy on most eyes even after the studs craze is over. MICHAEL Michael Kors is like the Marc by Marc Jacobs to Marc Jacobs and naturally the price is good. At USD448, all I will say is it is HOT. Available at Nordstrom, which is on FIRE!!!!

Louis Vuitton Label Collection

Almost everyone I know owns a piece or two of Louis Vuitton Monogram or Damier Canvas small leather goods so despite its price tag, it becomes a tacky situation when several people on the same table draw out similar wallets or cardholders at the same time. Once in a while, comes a variation of the Canvases which are cool without trying too much to be arty and I find their latest attempt commendable. Actually, I like them all! The range consists of Monogram Canvas, Damier Ebony and Azur Canvas and the canvases are being “stamped” on with vintage Louis Vuitton label design to give that nostalgic and heritage feel. You know I find anything vintage-related irresistible right? The Label Collection small leather goods start from USD200 for a key holder to USD500 for a pochette.

Askme – Hermes Picotin Bag

Is Hermes Picotin bag worth buying? With the price I could get a more elaborated bag from another designer.

The thing about Hermes bags is that its price is almost never justifiable for just a bag. I am going to give you the same advice as I have always given when it comes to Hermes goods: buy it if you know you will be using and loving it forever and possibly passing down to your offspring. The question is whether Picotin’s simple design suits your style in general? Don’t buy Hermes just because it is Hermes.

Personally, I like the TGM (biggest) size Picotin but I have Marwari, Victoria and Evelyn ahead of it on my wish-list.
