This is on the window display of the newly refurbished Hermes Takashimaya at Ngee Ann City Orchard Road, Singapore. Gorgeous Kelly, isn’t it? The Birkin of the similar size costs SGD17,500 here so I guess this one is about the same price as well.

Seriously… WTF?? I know some Gothic thingy could be fun and cool sometimes but this is like a Durian. I will just call this a Durian bag and it is not a pretty Christian Louboutin. I think this should be categorized as a hazard or a weapon and should not be allowed on a flight. Worst is it costs USD2,995. There is only one way a lady should carry this bag: when on the way to catch the husband cheating. If you happen to be one, I am sorry, it is available at Bergdorf for pre-order.

Chloé did it again. I criticised the Marlow in my most recent Chloé post and here it is back with a revenge, the bag in its best form, slapping me on my clever face. I had a chance to try out the large size myself in the Lane Crawford Hong Kong last week and I was hooked (but too pricey for me to really get it). The Marlow in leather is one thing and but in python, it is lighter and a lot more elegant too. The python skin texture perfectly compensates the simple design of the bag that I had deemed overly simple. It is now a subtle and elegant beauty, exactly what a Chloé bag should be. The medium size is available at Luisaviaroma for EUR2,458.33, inclusive of shipping to most countries around the world.

Could Vicky being seen with this Louis Vuitton messenger bag from the Spring 2010 collection make it a sold-out? Vicky looks gorgeous here but that tail on the bag is really… I am speechless. Why the hell is it there and so big? By the way, the bag is not even out in the stores yet. Pre-order if you like the bag but please lose the tail.

Bluefly is having a 10% discount on this Hermes Bolide 37 in very rare beautiful yellow color. Bolide might not be as high-profile as its Birkin and Kelly counterparts but it is still one of Hermes’ staple bags. The size 37 is one of the most popular and this color is very rare so the price tag of USD4,725 is considered very justifiable.

For men who are desperately looking for a classically stylish bag but feel that monogram from Vuitton or GG from Gucci compromise your masculinity, look no further as Berluti has the answer for you. Berluti cleverly engraved ancient script making it the house signature, subtle yet iconic. At USD2,000 a pop, I think it is perfectly justifiable taking into consideration the superb polished leather (which is still very very masculine) and the ultimate workmanship comparable to that of Hermes. Berluti bags and shoes are high on my list now. Maybe it comes with age but I am in the out of looking for more classic than trendy stuff lately. Good thing is I have been very careful with my purchase.
