Salvatore Ferragamo Vara Plate Tote

Oh finally!!! After a long while of being absent from the list of significant bags, Ferragamo is back with a leopard print on calf hair Vara Plate tote which is all elegant, classy and glam/wild at the same time. This bag would make a great conversation piece and is perfect to match and jazz up simple outfit. Get this gorgeous bag at USD1,290, a price tag that is incredibly justifiable!

D&G Stud Logo Tote

Alexander Wang has not answered my call on making a manbag out of his Rocco but Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana seem to try to compensate it by creating a beautiful full leather tote which looks like a normal tote until you see the bottom of the bag and voila!! What studs are those and this might just be the best way to display a logo on a bag without compromising elegance and subtlety! Now just to add a scope of vanila ice cream to a warm lava cake, the price is USD595, which is insanely irresistible for a full leather, made in Italy D&G tote. Now there are two problems only – I am not looking for another black tote as I have already owned a few totes and black bag so it is not for me but hey! This one is surely a catch. Pre-order from Neiman Marcus for shipment by July.

Kooba Carter Satchel

This might not be the most outstanding bag of the season but this is a great blend of nice leather, color, shape, classic design and the fact that is comes from a less commercial designer. Also, at USD595, it is a bag worth investing in. If you need a justification.

Perrelet Turbine

I have been growing fond of rubber strap watches lately. Besides Bell & Ross and Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore, Perrelet Turbine emerges to be a front runner should I decide to get one, I think. Perrelet is a relatively young watch company setup in 2004, reviving the legacy of Abraham-Louis Perrelet, a Swiss watchmaker who invented a self-winding mechanism in 1770 for pocket watches. Perrelet is thus widely acknowledged as the inventor of the basic movement known as ‘automatic’ today but it is important to note that unlike Patek, Audemars, Vacheron or A. Lange & Söhne, this brand is not older than a century old. Nevertheless, the company still makes pretty respectable watches and they look awesome too,  don’t they? I am hooked up with this Turbine watch, which is priced at USD5,850 before discounts. I know it is pretty steep but like they say, ” aim for the stars and you might end up buying a Perrelet in no time”. *Wink*

Prada Shearling Bowler

It seems like the Fall/Winter 2010 bags will be hot hot! If you want something unique, this Shearling bowler from Prada might be the one you are looking for. The bag is made in Italy of distressed Italian leather (which is divine) and completed with shearling trim and interior of fur from Spain. The price is pretty good at USD2,600 at Saks. If you want a more down-to-earth version of this bowler, it is also available in full deerskin version for USD2,200 and nylon and nappa leather version for nice USD1,395.

Louis Vuitton Delightful

The newest addition to Louis Vuitton Monogram Canvas family is the Delightful, which truly is  to see and carry. The bag is marketed as an everyday luxury and lightweight bag and IMO, better than the popular Neverfull. The size is big even for its PM and MM size. The GM size comes with two outside zipped compartments but I think they are more decorative than functional. The price for the Delightful starts from USD760 for PM size, USD855 for the MM (left) and USD1,100 for the GM (right) size.

Father’s Day Gift Ideas

It is the Father’s day this Sunday and here are some ideas for that first man in your life.

Like it or not, daddy has to take care of his health and heart. This little heart-rate monitor automatically establishes hear-rate limit of the wearer, displays target zone and provides audible alarms when you heart reaches the zone. Better still, it will always remind him of you whenever he works out and it costs only USD90.

The classic gentlemen gifts are ties, belts or wallet. If you are giving him one of those. Make sure it counts. leather belt from Hugo Boss at USD85, money clip wallet from Prada for USD270 and silk tie from Zegna at USD170.

For the sporty daddy, nothing beats a nice sporty, fuss-free watch for weekends like this Tag Heuer Formula1. Price starts from USD900 before discount.

If you daddy is a professional photographer or thinks he is, this camera bag from Louis Vuitton Damier Graphite line will definitely tops the list of his favorite gifts. Price is USD2,330 from Louis Vuitton.

Finally for daddy who loves expensive leather goods, this will be a gift to remember. The classic Gucci horsebit loafers in crocodile costs USD1,590 but it is what a pair of expensive loafers is supposed to look like.
