Marc Jacobs Small Gilda Handbag

Leave it to Marc Jacobs to design something that might sound ridiculous as an idea (leather, plastic sequins, fox and raccoon fur… oh my!) but ended up looking so beautiful, almost whimsical. This is definitely a very very chic bag to carry around and appropriate from brunch to dinner, even to a formal evening event IMO. The small Gilda is the only glamorous accessory you need for this season but with so many other equally beautiful bags to choose from Marc Jacobs’ collection this season, it is going to be hard to stop at one. Think of it as the season to pile up on Marc Jacobs bags. Does that sound crazy? The small Gilda is up to grab at Nordstrom for USD1,995.

Tory Burch Dayton Leather Messenger

The first thing I noticed about this bag is its beautiful blue leather (called Razor blue), then followed by the fact that its a convertible satchel-messenger, which to me is a major plus point for a bag. Tory Burch bags are mostly qualified, occasionally hits and the rest of times, misses. This Dayton, for an obvious reason is one of those occasional hits.  One thing about Tory Burch bags that I am pretty sure about is that it normally is worth more than its price tag, such as this one at USD525. You could call this a steal!

Marc Jacobs Camille Satchel

There are just many many gorgeous Marc Jacobs bags to sing about for this season. Finally Fall is here! To kick off the “concert”, is Camille. I am not sure who Camille Marc Jacobs named this bag after but all those vintage attributes such as the glazed leather, structured shape of a classic bag and slightly tarnished golden hard wares are really irresistible. Think of it as a bag you could pass down to your offspring, given if it is properly maintained, of course. At USD1,850 from Nordstrom, the Camille is among the best bags to buy I have seen this season.

Blake Lively with YSL Roady Hobo

Blake Lively is probably the hottest and the most IT American girl right now. Look at this gorgeous young girl with such a grace and impeccable personal style. This American girl has been spending some time in Paris during the shooting of the upcoming season of Gossip Girl and it seems like she brought back with her an YSL Roady Hobo. A IT French bag with an IT American girl- looks like the combo is working like a charm! Get this hot YSL bag from Saks for USD1,395.

DKNY Leather Doctor’s Bag

Great bags do not always have to come with huge bills and this could not have been more true with DKNY bags lately. Look at this beautiful classic Doctor’s bag that is worth every penny on its price tag. At  only GBP291.40, all working women, please just go and buy one! It will be among the best investment choices you will make in years.

PS: I am in such a light mood these 2 days and happy for a loved one. Let’s just say that someone in my family got a job offer from a big MNC which name rhymes with D&G and the company used to own Rochas for a period.  It entails a fantastic package and awesome benefits. =)

Valentino Day Lace Duffle

Valentino has been moving into the bag business a lot more aggressively over the past few seasons and boy, they have created a few TDF bags along the way with the IT 360 being the most recent. Like the kings of bags in the industry, everyone has to have a Boston bag and so Valentino came up with its version. It is lace over leather and despite the fact that it might not be the most exciting bags from the house so far, it could just bring Valentino to the mainstream bag market. If you are in the market for a Boston of Duffle bag and is avoiding the classic Vuitton, Gucci, Burberry or Fendi, this might be one worth considering. It is however, tad pricier at USD935.

Fendi Classico No.1

Small vintage-inspired purses are the trend of the moment as seen in my previous posts for Marc Jacobs Garbo Greta bag and Dior 3D Bag. Although I still think the Marc Jacobs Garbo Greta is the hottest among the lot, this Fendi Classico No. 1 is surely sending that nostalgic vibe we all love. The price is a little steep to me at USD1,520 for a full fabric bag. Buy it from Saks if you like this.

Miu Miu Patchwork Mink Satchel

I have never considered bags made of mink as good investment hence they rarely go up to the list of highly desired bags and often end up on the overly fashioned bags. A multicolor patchwork mink satchel might not have sounded good an idea but I adore the end result of this Miu Miu bag up to the point I had to put it on the HOT bag list. If you ever need to buy a mink bag, I say make it this one. Buy it from Bergdorf Goodman for USD2,990.

Foley+Corrina Strippy Leather Hobo

The signature hobo bag from the designer duo came with its new incarnation that, in a way reminded me of Gucci Techno bags from the last season. Coincidence? Or the case of being inspired Any way, it is a fabulous bag at even more fabulous price tag for USD465. Buy it from Saks.

Balenciaga Chain Bag

This reminds me of an old school bag. Mine was a back pack, actually but with two pockets, you can imagine. The bag is made entirely of soft lambskin that Balenciaga is known for. It might not be an IT bag material but it comes from a French house, so almighty that it banned the French Vogue and its venerable Carine Roitfeld from its shows and removed its ads and stopped sending sample over to the fashion bible. Balenciaga got some balls. This bag costs USD2,195.
