Victoria Beckham Bag Collection

Victoria Beckham has successfully built her own namesake label that basically consists of pieces she would definitely wear her own and it is a smart move as there are not many women who do not wish to look a bit like her. After Jeans, sunglasses and dresses, starting Spring/Summer 2011, we look forward to Victoria Beckham bags. While the runway presentation only featured a few pieces of her bags, Victoria herself has been seen carrying a few pieces of her own creation, replacing her usual Hermes Birkins and Kellys. There is no wonder that Beckham bags give the similar vibe of luxury and timelessness like the Hermes and Valextras. One day, Victoria Beckham bags might just be as coveted as the Hermes pieces. Who knows? We will know the prices when they hit the store but like other Beckham pieces, the starting prices should be pretty high.

Derek Lam Ume Mini Bag

A mini messenger bag is one of the hottest must-haves lately and it seems to be going nowhere anytime soon. Once a girl has managed to squeeze all that she needs into that mini bag, she would wonder why she ever needed a big tote that kills her arms and shoulders every time she carries it so the mini is becoming a staple. There are many mini bags to choose from different houses nowadays with the Hermes Constance (starting from USD4,000) and the Celine Box bag (starting from USD2,500) leading the pack but I have always found the price for both the bags ridiculous for its size so this new offer from Derek Lam is an extremely good buy if you happen to be in the market for such bags. It is currently available in black and white at Saks. Derek is an Aries so it is fitting for him to put ram heads as decoration onto a bag from his namesake label. The price? USD590, which is worth buying in both colors, if you ask me.

Furla Guggenheim Satchel

I still remember when I first saw this bag on the Furla shop display at ION Orchard and remember thinking it was one of the most appealing new design from Furla I have seen in recent seasons. Made entirely of croc-embossed calfskin, the Guggenheim is a great bag to own, especially at EUR395 only.

Gucci Leather with GG Detail Tote

The Gucci Cruise 2011 collection went back to basic where beautiful tan leather dominates the leather goods  array. It is becoming rarer nowadays but some leather houses like Hermes and Loewe still make some of their bags unlined, leaving the suede inside and despite its higher maintenance, the look seems to be coming back. This tote is rather understated for a Gucci. Besides the small GG detail, there is nothing else giving hint that it is indeed a Gucci bag and that is really nice for a change. Oh I love that tan color and  of course, its unlined interior too. This tote is available in Gucci stores starting November for around USD1,490.

Osprey London New Agatha Croc Bag

London might not be as important as Paris, Milan and New York as a fashion capital but many great designers call the city home and some of those designers are worth looking into. Founded in 1980, Osprey London is the place to go to for beautifully crafted, high quality leather goods that do not break your bank. If the US has its Coach and Italy has its Furla, I think it fits to say that London has Osprey. While not a ground-breaking bag design, the Osprey London New Agatha Croc bag is a classic design for a shoulder bag. This reminds me a little of the Dior 3D Flap Bag we featured back in August but the reason I classified this brand together with Coach and Furla is because of its price tag. With the price tag of GBP345, this bag is simply a must-have in Harrods.com.

Limited Edition Louis Vuitton Ostrich Speedy 30

The Speedy might be one of the most basic (and most affordable) of Louis Vuitton bags but it happens to be the most iconic and timeless as well. I have never seen this bag in real life before but I do know that you could make order limited edition bags with Louis Vuitton when you are one of their VIPs. This full Ostrich Speedy 30 is made entirely of Ostrich skin and it is beautiful! However unlike the canvas version, the main body of the bag is made of two pieces of leather joined at the bottom of the bag rather than a single piece (you now what I mean if you own a Speedy and are observant). I guess it is not easy to get a large piece of Ostrich leather with the perfect lumps all over but the joining at the bottom also adds a good support the canvas versions normally lack. Anyhow, while it is beautiful, the price is exorbitant at USD12,600 for a pre-owned Speedy 30. If you are an avid Vuitton collector and USD12,600 is just a small percentage of your regular shopping budget then go to fashionphile.com now!
