Anya Hindmarch Pimlico Leather Bag

Mention Anya Hindmarch and the popular Be a Bag and the “I’m not a plastic bag” bag comes to your mind but the British bag designer is definitely more capable than the two bags that made her name. Judging by what we see from the Pimlico leather bag here, I say Anya is still one of the bag designers of our generation to become a classic name. The Pimlico has all the attributes of a classic bag, complemented by necessary twists such as the tone-on-tone stitching around the whole bag and the over-sized tassels that make the zipper pulls. Think of this baby as the D Bag of Tod’s or the Muse of YSL. It is a potential classic bag worth looking into. Price is GBP633 at net-a-porter.com

Anya Hindmarch Roslyn Pleated Leather Clutch

A classic clutch does not always have to be boring. This hot red pleated leather clutch from Anya is an embodiment of elegance with a touch of excitement. Maybe it is the color or the hardware or the pleats, then again, God is in the details and maybe it is those little details in this clutch that make it pop. The Roslyn is available at net-a-porter.com for GBP269.82.

Anya Hindmarch Bespoke Opens

Anya Hindmarch Bespoke opens. This is the very reason Anya opened her business to begin with – to create pieces very personal to the clients which could be passed down as family heirloom to their grandchildren. This means, you could have a bag, created just for you, to suit your own needs and taste. The bag will bear your name instead of Anya’s. At this point of time, the service is only available at the first store at 15-17 Point Street, London so do make it a point to visit the store if London is your next stop point. Meanwhile, if you are not looking for anything Bespoke just for you just yet, the Minton Leather shoulder bag is beautiful, classy and Made in Italy for a mere USD695.

My Own Anya Hindmarch “I’m Not a Plastic Bag”

This is my Anya Hindmarch “I’m Not a Plastic Bag”. I know that the craze has died down long time ago but this bag is still a keeper to me. Great for carrying groceries for picnic or yatch sailing. I first saw this on US Vogue like months before it was released and was trying all my luck to get myself one. There was no way to get one in Asia or US so I had to pull some strings (trust me, I dun have many to begin with) before managing to get myself one from London.

Like it or not, people still remember Anya Hindmarch mostly by this baby.
