Lily Allen might have scored a Chanel ad like Kate Moss but apparently it is true that when it comes to off-the-runway style, no one else comes close to the super of the supermodels. I always like seeing celebrities “abusing” their prestigious designer handbags like what Kate did (or maybe still does) to her Hermes Birkin but what Lily did with her YSL Muse Two here is not chic at all. She looks as flawless as Audrey Hepburn in Chanel ad though. And the bag is to-die-for too. Watch out for the post!

Salma Hayek and Sienna Miller with Gucci New Jackie

The Gucci New Jackie is very covetable despite its relatively expensive price. I adore the bag for its slouch, big size and boho glam style. Salma Hayek and Sienna Miller have very different style from one another but apparently both found a common interest in this beautiful updated classic. Seen here is Salma with her Coral red leather while Sienna is with white leather version. Gucci New Jackie comes with more than 20 different variations of materials and styling. Gucci New Jackie is available at Bergdorf Goodman starting from USD2,100.

Hermes Birkin 50 @ Hermes Takashimaya Singapore

Pharrell Williams’ purple croc HAC might be one of the most expensive bags i dun like. There is one thing about being over-the-top glam but being just OVER is another. Did Hermes decide to make the bag just because Williams is an ultra famous and rich  hip hop star? I hope not. The bag is more like a HAC-look-alike than a real HAC, except that it is real and must have cost a bomb to commoners. Anyway, if you happen to be hunting for Hermes Birkin 50 in dark blue (shade is similar to the picture i featured above, except that the picture is size 30), there is one available in the Takashimaya Singapore store now. Price? Just SGD17,400. It is considered reasonable without the wait-list. I think someone who had placed the order dropped it. Would you be kind enough to “adopt” it? Believe me, if moolah is not an issue, i will take the dark blue Birkin in much more dignified calf than Williams’ purple croc anytime. Contact Fandi at Hermes Takashimaya at (65)67355228.

Blake Lively with Marcello de Cartier Shopper

Jewellers like Cartier and Bvlgari have jammed the lucrative handbag industry too. No exactly surprising as handbag companies like Dior, Gucci and Louis Vuitton also stepped into their territory so i guess the invasion is mutual. The Marcello de Cartier bag from Cartier has been a favourite with celebrities like Jennifer Garner, Hillary Duff and Julliane Moore since launched last year up to the point, it was almost an “It” bag. For those, like Angelina Jolie and Blake Lively here who found the wide shape not as “friendly”, the new version of the bag is a tall shopper with a detachable shoulder strap. I find this one more appealing than the original style but i am always attracted to bags of similar shapes. Oh well, if you are digging it like me, fork out USD2,200. Get it via your nearest Cartier Accessory store.
