Exclusive Gucci 1973 Small for Marina Bay Sands

Gucci opens yet another store in Singapore yesterday at the most coveted address in the country now, the Marina Bay Sands. Exclusive to the store is the Gucci 1973 small shoulder bag in not one or two but five color choices to satisfy your craving for options (or to confuse you). The colors available are China Blue, Fuschia Pink, Cerese Orange, Bacca Red and Mustard Yellow. Aside from the Cerese Orange, I can’t choose among the 4 other colors to pick one favorite. At SGD1,210, it is not ridiculously priced either. With many hot night spots in Singapore now, this makes a good investment for those many nights out.

Prada Canape & Saffiano Tote

Despite being exclusive to Saks.com, this tote is, in my opinion, overpriced! Yes, there is a patch of Ostrich and the bag is also trimmed with Prada Saffiano leather but mostly, it is still made of cotton canvas. I guess the exclusivity also jacks up the price by another few hundred bucks. Would you buy this for USD2,395? Exclusive available at saks.com only, of course.

Burberry ION-exclusive Exotic Products

Never before in Singapore a shopping mall opening attracted so much interest from international shoppers, media and brand names. Then again, this is the best thing that has happened to Orchard Road over the past decade. ION Orchard is exactly what Singapore Orchard Road desperately needed to reclaim its status as one of the most loved shopping belt in Asia. After Louis Vuitton opening its door to the biggest Vuitton store in the region on 2 July 2009, Burberry just did the same earlier this week and launched a highly limited-edition collection of exotic products to commemorate the store opening.  The collection consists of handbags, wallets, cardholders and belts with prices started from SGD400 for cardholders and SGD1,985 for handbags. Unlike Vuitton’s ION collection which dissapointingly consisted only of one bag, the Burberry’s ION collection indeed satisfied my cravings and left me wanting them badly. Bad news is, each piece is limited to only like 3 pieces. If you like it, you’ve got to jump. I am so going to ION tomorrow.

The bag is made of Veau Swift leather which is a very soft and fine grained calf leather so it is perfect to touch and pretty resistant to scratches. This Birkin is up for USD11,607 including of shipping via Fedex. You should be able to order it from Hermes store at below USD9,000 with a few years’ wait-list. The picture here has been touched up and the color looks very bright and rich. The original color is slightly darker but still very nice.

I have been fond of the Marc Jacobs Alyona Satchel since it first came out. It looks like the younger, hipper cousin of the iconic Stam. This Alyona Satchel in dark beige lamb skin is the Neiman Marcus-exclusive versions. The bag comes with black Watersnake trim that jacks up the classy vector by a few notches. Now the best thing, the bag was priced at USD1,475 and is now being marked down to USD988. A full lamb skin bag with Watersnake trim from Marc Jacobs under one grand? It is hard to shop and have to choose with these great offers brushing against each other but it is harder not to shop at all, agreed? I dare not click the men’s session now.
