Everything in natural shades such as nude, tan, brown, cognac or earth will be in for Fall/Winter 2009 so bring out your tan Burberry trench or those old tinted brown Rayban Aviator shades. If you happen to be an avid collector of rare Hermes bags, this should make it onto your list. The bag is pre-owned and hence the ostrich skin has darkened slightly, which I would normally call forming a character. This beautiful bag is priced at USD14,500 at Fashionphile.

Fashionphile offers pre-loved bags so hot, it makes buying second-hand bags look cool and smart nowadays. Look at it this way: you will never know what you will find, the prices will mostly be irresistible and carrying a limited edition past season bag is no longer fashion passe if you know what to get. Take this gorgeous Python Peggy bag in Gold from Gucci for instance – it is not a classic Gucci bag one would expect yet it has the iconic element of the brand (the bamboo) and the gorgeous python leather that looks like a million bucks. Price is also excellent at USD1,345, down from the original USD3,190. It is like if you need only one gold bag, why not get it in gorgeous python from Gucci?

Chanel flap bag is one of the most classic bags in the history of bagkind. I have a friend who inherits a Chanel flap from her mom who inherits it from her mother (ok, the grandmother got it when she was pretty old, the mom inherited for a while and passed to my friend when she was like 17) and the best thing is, it never goes out of style til today. Chanel flap in lambskin or caviar are definitely the favourites to go but a croc jumbo flap does not come by often. Lucky you, there is currently one piece available at Fashionphile for USD14,950, down from a jaw-dropping USD28,000. The bag was almost totally new and was from Fall 2007 collection. This glam baby will make a very covetable family heirloom.

Gucci might be best known for its iconic GG logo in the form of fabric print or leather emboss but the house actually makes among the best leather goods in the world, incuding exotics. As a matter of fact, Gucci and Hermes are among the few houses who own their own crocodile farm which makes them very unpopular with PETA and animal lovers. While the iconic GG has a special spot in my heart, Gucci’s plain leather goods rarely fail to make a way in either. Look at this pre-loved Ostrich Hobo bag in tan. The bag is simple and luxurious and the Ostrich texture adds the glam factor in a very subdued way. This is a very rare piece in such a good condition and price that is irresistible for Ostrich. Available on Fashionphile for USD1,550. This is almost a robbery!

From the Spring/Summer 2006 runway collection, the Denim Quilted Linda is one of the best incarnations of Vuitton Denim i have seen so far. Surprisingly this limited edition highly sought-after bag is still available in Fashionphile.com. If you are an avid collector, this is one of those limited edition Vuitton pieces i classify as worth collecting as the design is original, stylish and not too over-the-top that it reaches the level of looking weird already. This bag is pre-owned, being sold at Fashionphile for USD2,995 now.

Okay, let’s talk about this one. For a moment, I was a little confused if it’s one to love. Which soul from Venus doesn’t like Hermes Kelly? And next question is who likes lizards? I personally have extremely unusual fear towards lizards, and lizards only. But think about it, most of them are actually harmless so I probably don’t mind lizard skins in items like clutches, wallets or card holders but as a handbag? I’ve yet to decide. Anyway, what is hard to resist about lizard skins is mostly they’re bright in colors and so is this bag’s but apparently for some reasons, someone has sold it off so you can grab it at Fashionphile.com at $11,950. After all, it’s an exotic skin bag, which means not a great everyday-bag for most of us. A high investment needs a high maintenance.
Fashionphile.com sells and buys authentic pre-owned luxury bags.
