Gucci Ronson Lace-up Sneakers

Marc Jacobs collaborated with Kanye West to produce limited edition sneakers for Louis Vuitton so Gucci had to catch up. I respect Frida Giannini’s choice of working with a Grammy Award winning music producer, Mark Ronson (who produced for Amy Winehouse) instead of a hip-hop artists who sabotaged Taylor Swift in an award show (I kept telling myself to get over it but I think it will only disappear by 2010). Anyway, the result is not disappointing. I love the sneakers ( I might even consider buying it if it is available in Singapore).  Even if love more for everything that come with it: Specially designed collectible silver shoe box and tissue paper with NY map, black nylon flannel bag and interlocking GG charm. Also, they do monogramming with your initial if you choose to.  On top of all those, there is also an exclusive vinyl produced by Mark Ronson as the gift. The package comes for USD530. I said, it is really worth buying. Gucci 1, Vuitton NIL.

Gucci Moccasins with Bamboo Detail

I am a loafers / drivers / moccasins guy and a sucker for Ferragamos but I have side affections for a Magli, Tod’s and Gucci too. I am loving this Gucci from its Resort 2010 collection. It is a classic Gucci with the bamboo detail and I love the ballet shoes styling which is popular with men shoes now. I own a pair of Magli in sky blue with such styling and I have also seen Louis Vuitton in white like this too but this Gucci is somehow prettier. Let’s see what happens when I visit Hong Kong tomorrow (yay!!!). Available at Gucci stores or upscale departments stores around the world from Euro395.
