Gucci New Jackie in Gold Crocodile

I am a fan of the Gucci New Jackie but at almost Euro2,000 a pop for the canvas and leather version, I am not sure how well they have been selling around the world yet Gucci is still reincarnating it in not-so-classic (translation: not-so-easy selling) colors such as orange and yellow (gold). I was surprised when I saw this gold crocodile version. It is nice but not that nice and at Euro19,000 is costs more than most Toyota cars. I will only get it if and only if money is not an issue. By the way, I tried on the grey Guccissima Jackie O at the Gucci store @The Landmark Hong Kong today. Dun know why but it did not have the effect on me was not as profound as it had been before.

The Gucci New Jackie is very covetable despite its relatively expensive price. I adore the bag for its slouch, big size and boho glam style. Salma Hayek and Sienna Miller have very different style from one another but apparently both found a common interest in this beautiful updated classic. Seen here is Salma with her Coral red leather while Sienna is with white leather version. Gucci New Jackie comes with more than 20 different variations of materials and styling. Gucci New Jackie is available at Bergdorf Goodman starting from USD2,100.
