In the 90s, the late Princess Diana started one spark (among many sparks she made) in the fashion history with a Dior bag that officially sent the house into bag business, hence the name of the bag is a tribute to the Lady. Today, Dior is still among the few fashion mega brands which rely more on its ready-to-wear and make-up lines for its revenue generation as opposed to on its leather goods such as Hermes, Gucci and Vuitton.
