Well… Miu Miu bags have recently drawn my attention. You might just find whatever you are looking for in a great bag in this Miu Miu. Versatility? Check! Chic-ness? Check! Multiple compartments? Check! Classic design? Check! Beautiful color? Check! At GBP856, it is basically a must-have to me. Oh… add hug-ability onto that list of yours because the fact that it is padded just makes this bag hug-able.

A great bag design is not necessarily unique in term of shape but there are certainly distinct features that set it apart from other bags. The Miu Miu Matalesse tote is now the house’s iconic bag. It counts the chevron-quilted napa leather, braided handles and the signature Miu Miu push-lock closure as its distinct features. This bag came across very trendy when it first came out but the fact that Miu Miu has made it one of its staples means it does have the staying power. It is also gaining more popularity with stylish dressers, slowly making its way into the list of classic must-haves. The bag is very obviously feminine too, I would like to think of it as the next Chanel flap bag. As with the case of Chanel flap bags, the price also increases every year so if you like it, don’t wait it out too long. Price is still reasonable at USD1,650 now.

What impressed me most when I got the chance to “play” with this bag in person a few months back is its color and the buttery soft Nappa leather that is to die for. The Coffer might have been Miu Miu’s most iconic bag to date but this more youthful and more minimalistic option will make its way to the younger audiences’ wardrobes in no time. Ah… Miuccia Prada always has her ways to lure women to part from their hard-earned money (or for some, the money was not hard-earned) for items that will surely be off-trend the next season. Then again, fashion is all about celebrating today and that’s why Prada is still the reigning fashion house of our generation. The should strap is detachable so the bag could be made a clutch but the size makes it a pretty awkward clutch, IMO. The cut-out detail on the shoulder strap is a nice touch but in turn, it makes the bag more of a trendy than a classic piece. I love this fluoro-pink color very much. It is the resort season so linen and canvas is appropriate. This Miu Miu tote is single-handedly THE most glamorized tote made of linen I have ever come across. It would have matched the Arabian outfit of the girls in the Sex and the City 2 last year but it will just match your resort outfit as well. Price is USD1,250 at Bergdorf Goodman. It is a little steep for a bag made generally of linen but all the adornments are appropriately done to make it classy and not over-the-top.

I have never considered bags made of mink as good investment hence they rarely go up to the list of highly desired bags and often end up on the overly fashioned bags. A multicolor patchwork mink satchel might not have sounded good an idea but I adore the end result of this Miu Miu bag up to the point I had to put it on the HOT bag list. For Fall/Winter, a little shearling around the the edges never hurt and on this aged leather tote, it makes this Miu Miu tote a winner! Classic, elegant and utilitarian – this Miu Miu big reminds me slightly of the Prada Jacquard logo collection a few years bag. Although I managed to get my mom a beautiful deer-skin trimmed bag from that collection, I did not manage to get anything for myself, something I still regret from time to time now. Of course suede is not the perfect material in tropical weather in Singapore (especially given the fact that it has been pouring down way too much lately) but with dark color, it is still bearable.
