Since things have been pretty dry with the bag market lately, it is time to go south. South, exactly to the Columbia where crocodile bags from Nancy Gonzalez never failed to thrill me. Look at this flap bag! Made entirely of crocodile skin, I could not recall any other shoulder flap bag more classic or elegant than this one. Available at Neiman Marcus for USD2,495.

The bright yellow color reminds me of lemon peel. Fresh and very energetic like summer. This bag is perfect to be paired with either a white dress for more casual feel or black jacket for boardroom appeal. The satchel is priced at USD3,300 at Bergdorf.

Even Nancy Gonzalez studded her bag and you might ask “how?”, given that the Colombian bag designer does not work with hardware on her purses. The studs in this bag are covered with exotic skin, how cool is that? The material is a combo of Python leather for the body and croc for the handles and on side of the bag. I also like the suede lining in contrasting salmon skin color. This bag fits perfectly into my definition of a very very hot bag. The shape is classic and it comes with detachable shoulder strap too. Seems like nothing is left out and it is a damn steal at USD3,100!
