I watch ‘NINE’ last week and have to agree that while Rob Marshall is still one of the greatest Hollywood’s Directors, he did not manage to come anywhere close to ‘CHICAGO’. The cast did deliver what they are expected to, especially Penelope Cruz who just owned the scenes. Penelope Cruz owned the night at the London Premier of ‘NINE’ in Ralph Lauren gown, paired with a gorgeous blue snakeskin clutch from the designer too. I think she scored nine out of nine here.
The pre-requisite to star in the upcoming Rob Marshall’s musical adaptation of ‘Nine’ is at least an Academy Award nominee or a Grammy winner hence the stellar cast of the movie consists of Academy Award winners Daniel Day-Lewis, Judi Dench, Nicole Kidman, Marion Cotillard, Penélope Cruz, and Sophia Loren; Academy Award nominee and Golden Globe Award winner Kate Hudson; and Grammy winner Fergie. Seems like Marion Cotillard was not the only French in the cast. Spotted here in one of the scenes with Penelope Cruz’s character, Carla Albanese in a train station are Louis Vuitton Monogram Canvas trunks, hat box and beauty case. I have highly anticipated this movie ever since I first watched the trailer back in June (Who could forget the song???) so I am very excited that it is coming soon. This Holiday Season, Be Italian!
