You know when it comes to Stella McCartney, all leathers are Faux. It is a tough business for fashion not being able to use leather but Stella is one, if not the most succesful story. Faux leather does not always have to look plasticky and cheap. This tote proves that faux leather could still look as upscale and glam as its natural counterpart. I am just not very sure that most people would pay USD995 for a faux leather bag, even if it is this nice. I honestly do not see any issue if people are willing to pay more for a printed coated canvas bag.

I am officially in LOVE with the Valentino 360. Denim designer bags are often overpriced and look tacky but not this Valentino 360 hobo. In fact, in denim, the bag looks more youthful and approachable by younger crowds. I have already loved the full Nappa leather version (which is GORGEOUS, by the way) and I really love this version too. If only they trim another USD100-150 off the price tag, it would have been a hot bag. Avaialble for pre-order at Bergdorf for USD895.

This might not be the most stunning design of clutches for the next season but the blue python skin is gorgeous, don’t you think? The Gucci signature bamboo and D-ring details are also very well and tastefully downplayed to let the skin shine. Excellent choice for resort parties. I am a fan of the Gucci New Jackie but at almost Euro2,000 a pop for the canvas and leather version, I am not sure how well they have been selling around the world yet Gucci is still reincarnating it in not-so-classic (translation: not-so-easy selling) colors such as orange and yellow (gold). I was surprised when I saw this gold crocodile version. It is nice but not that nice and at Euro19,000 is costs more than most Toyota cars. I will only get it if and only if money is not an issue. By the way, I tried on the grey Guccissima Jackie O at the Gucci store @The Landmark Hong Kong today. Dun know why but it did not have the effect on me was not as profound as it had been before.

Greetings from Hong Kong! Things, as usual are more vibrant and the people look for confident and comfy with themselves here than most people with themselves in Singapore. Back to bags, which we lurve, a new season is always exciting, especially resort / spring / summer. This might be the best value-for-money and versatile bag from Gucci Resort 2010 I have seen so far. Love the simple design and beautiful color (also comes in white). The size is good too at around 35cm x 15cm x 40cm, big enough to fit those work-to-play stuff as a daily bag. Pre-order from Gucci for USD1,590.
