Salvatore Ferragamo New Gancini Clara Hobo

A few things I adore about this Ferragamo hobo bag:

1. The blue color is freaking classic, vintage-inspired, awesome!

2. The shape is classic and the leather is luxurious

3. The Gancini hardware on the bag

4. It is a hobo and I am into hobos now

5. I have always thought that James Ferragamo was awesome and even more so now since I just saw him on TV

6. The price is awesome at only SGD1,200 from Saks.

Salvatore Ferragamo Floral Scarf-Print Tote

If Hermes can sell bags made of scarves, Ferragamo should also be able to, right? Well, I actually did not think so as Hermes made its name out of its leather and silk but Ferragamo actually out of leather shoes. Then again, maybe I was too quick to judge as this Floral scarf print tote looks not only great as a bag but the scarf itself would look great wrapping around a lady’s neck too. It would certainly make a great resort bag and for whatever reason, the price tag of USD1,190 does not feel too much. If you agree with me, get one from Neiman Marcus!

Salvatore Ferragamo Caretta Wave Leather Tote

Pleating is always a good understated way to add elegance and feminine touch to a bag. The Ferragamo Caretta might not grab your attention right away like some other bags might do when you first lookat it but upon closer inspection, there are interesting details one might appreciate (if you could appreciate fine things in life) such as the braided leather handles, the soft luxurious calf leather and the roomy interior which is easy to access to. If you like an understated bag with fine details, this one is for you. Available at Bloomingdale’s for USD1,450.

Shia Labeouf with Ferragamo Messenger and Gucci Moccasins

I caught the Wall Street 2 today and while it met my expectations at large, the ending was, IMO, too “happy”. Yes, it might be the real case with the Wall Street people – getting 7 or 9 figures pay check while 15,000 people lost of their jobs and millions of others lost their life savings but I really think the audience could handle a little more focus on the bitterness of life such as the possibility that Gordon Gekko was really a bastard who cares more about how many more billions he could make rather than being a father.

Nevertheless, Shia Labeouf and Carey Mulligan was super super cute together, they are like a pair of very cute salt and pepper shaker. The scene where they separated was very heart-wrenching.

The other things I could not help but notice are Shia’s bag and shoes. They were Ferragamo Toronto Messenger bag (was USD850, but no longer available widely) and Gucci Moccasins (USD495), which are think while understated, look pretty nice on screen.

Salvatore Ferragamo Vara Plate Tote

Oh finally!!! After a long while of being absent from the list of significant bags, Ferragamo is back with a leopard print on calf hair Vara Plate tote which is all elegant, classy and glam/wild at the same time. This bag would make a great conversation piece and is perfect to match and jazz up simple outfit. Get this gorgeous bag at USD1,290, a price tag that is incredibly justifiable!

Salvatore Ferragamo New Gancini Icona Vitello Tote

We have not featured Ferragamo bags with excitement for a while and while the design of the New Gancini Icona is not exactly avant-garde, it is timeless, luxurious and it means business. For some reason, Ferragamo is making its bags a lot more affordable these days yet gladly, the material and looks are still not compromised. This beautiful tote is entirely crafted in beautiful Saffiano leather. It is highly functional and is very good in the looks department as well. At only SGD1,500 from Saks (maybe slightly more expensive in Singapore), it makes a perfect gift for working women who rely on the likes of Hermes Birkins and Kellys as statement pieces. This baby makes just as good an alternative.
