Neiman Marcus Sale – Prada Vitello Daino Bowler

Another irresistible offer from Neiman Marcus Sale on Prada is the classic Vitello Daino Bowler in either white or baby blue. It is going to be a tough call if you plan to get one only as the blue is rare and adorable yet the white is a classic. Will it be a sin to get both? At the price it is being marked down now (from USD1,650 to USD1,106), i will say it is an investment but then again we all know shopping is never really an an investment. Okay, just get the blue one!

Neiman Marcus Sale – Prada Naplak Bowler

Bright and shine, people! The summer is here and the sale is too. Neiman Marcus kicked off its sale by offering pretty good arrays of bags on sale, i am going to post the best deals over the next few days.

First up, the Prada Naplak Bowler is simple and classic except for its color. Choose from either bring yellow or fuchsia. This bag is for you if you are a color person or for those in desperate needs of colors in the your wardrobe. The fuchsia on the right might be more versatile and timeless compared to the yellow one to the left but i sure do like the it better for its eye-popping effect. Marked down from USD1,695 to USD1,136 at Neiman Marcus.

Mulberry Mitzy Hobo in Ostrich

Following the success of the Bayswater, Roxanne and Mabel bags and their many reincarnations, The British much admired leather house launched the Mitzy. The line is dubbed to marry great leather with design and craftmanship and if all the bags in this family looks like this fabulous Ostrich Mitzy Hobo in Turquoise, i will completely agree. Summer is here now and time to get the best time under the sun (although it is agonizingly hot now for city life). A splash of bright color like this turquoise will excite your look and i am insanely impressed with this bag. The price is not forgiving at GBP1,995 but the whole bag is made of beautiful Ostrich leather and it measures pretty big at 42cm x 48cm x 9cm. Also available in smooth peable calf leather at only GBP495 but it is nowhere as impressive.

Marc Jacobs Memphis Robert Lexie Tote and Jennifer Bag

Barneys New York is on sale and among the bags worth considering is this Marc Jacobs tote. I was actually  quite shocked to find these two are already on sale since it is still pretty new. Furthermore, only the brown color is on sale while the other two colors (black and navy) are still on full price. I honestly think the brown color is the best out of the three and in a way, the Lexie suddenly became desirable. The Lexie tote has not been in my recommended list. Due to its size, it is, in my opinion, too loud and colorful which suits Betty Suarez more than any other people. However, given that it is currently at 40% off, quite a big size, full leather with such intricate details and the fact that it is a Marc Jacobs, i have to say i am lured. The bag is now on sale at Barneys for USD1,199, down from USD1,995.

I have however been rooting the Robert Jennifer shoulder bag since it first came out. I know the leather details and all that are exactly the same as the Lexie but in smaller size, it looks pretty and not overwhelming from. The brown color Jennifer is also on sale at Barneys at the same price. I will say hurry up for this one.

Kate Spade ‘Tarrytown-Betty’ Handheld Mini Satchel

Kate Spade’s huge success in the world of handbag is due to her ability to create bags that are practical, fuss-free, non-intimidating and pretty with excellent quality for its price point. It’s been a while since the last bag from Kate got me talking. They are generally nice and pretty but not exactly outstanding. These mini satchels are not exactly out-of-the-box either but they are obviously cute, simple and spoilling in term of colors to choose from. I like the texture of Kate Spade’s signature leather, which is used in this bag. Isn’t this a good replacement to you basic Boston bags? The price is very attractive too at USD295 per pop. It makes you want to get it in the four colors, doesn’t it? There is also Black color but i say, go for the midnight if you fancy black. What are you waiting for? This makes a perfect gift to both yourself and loved ones.

Celine Phyton Boston Bag

How do you change a doctor bag or a frame bag that is traditionally rigid and hyper-structured into something feminine and lovely? Leave it to the French luxury house Celine to do the modification and the result is a clean, chic bag that is still versatile enough for business. Dior made a similar bag last year with hardware handles and volume body in buttery soft leather but the one from Celine is closer to a diffusion of a frame bag. This bag also comes with a detachable messenger strap. Available in both super soft waxed calf leather and phyton. In this feminine pink, the phyton color definitely steals the spotlight. Available at your nearest Celine stores for around €1,200 for the calf leather version and €2,300 for the phyton skin.

Burberry Leather Shopper

Burberry has continuously reduced the appearance of its signature Nova check pattern in its new collections and it is a smart move as the brand has more to offer than just the check. The Nova check is certainly part of Burberry’s  heritage and one of the most iconic signature but was originally just used as the lining of its trench coats. Not forgetting what made Burberry one of the world’s most well-known luxury brands is the quality of its products and the house seems to determine to put that ahead of any gimmicks this season. Look at this simple leather shopper. Nothing says “Burberry!”, just a small whisper from the small Equestrian knight logo (the logo of the brand). I am loving this bag for its simplicity and roomy interior. The bag will definitely slouch when stuffed, giving it a very chic and nonchalant look. Available at your nearest Burberry stores or Nordstrom for USD995.

Burberry Small Rafia Tote

With the Pound Sterling reaching a new low, Britain has never been more attractive to visit. Think of London and its distinct features such the London cab, the red phone booth, the London Bridge, the Palace, the London eye and of course, Burberry. The 153 years old company has enjoyed rapid growth and enormous success for the past 8 years ever since Christopher Bailey took over the post of Creative Director of the house in 2001 and revamped its image from an old and classic trench coat company to the Brit’s most powerful fashion and luxury house . With the Pound Sterling being more affordable than ever to some other currencies, there has never been a better time to get our hands on a piece of the house’s signature check.

This tote made of Rafia patchworks is unique and classy with the roughness  of the material that gives it an edge to the bag. The Burberry bag collection for the Spring 2009 is pretty interesting and this is one of the more outstanding pieces. The bag is priced at £695 in the UK. Check out Burberry.com for the complete collection. There is one more reason to visit UK this year!

Coach Bonnie Cashin Collection

For the Spring 2009, Coach launched a Bonnie Cashin collection, paying tribute to its late former designer, Ms Bonnie Cashin. Cashin was the one who launched the women accesories division for Coach back to 1962 and created a few iconic products for the brand especially leather products in colors such as pink, green and yellow and bags with external coin pouch. The collection consists of 14 designs of totes, framed bags and clutches. I particularly like this jeweled canvas caryall, retailing at USD698. Check out the full collection online at coach.com.

Louis Vuitton Monogram Epices Kalahari

What did i say about the Vuitton Kalahari in the embossed Monogram leather version being more interesting than the Monogram canvas version? Look at this bag and see how much more gorgeous it is, especially in this  beautiful color (called Safran). The collection and the colors of the leather are inspired by spices. Besides Safran, there are Masala (clay color) and Paprika (maroon color) colors too which in my opinion are interesting too but not as breath-taking as this Safran.

One thing remains the same as the Monogram canvas version – the smaller version (PM) still looks way better than the clumsy GM version. Prices are around USD4,800 and USD5,800 for PM and GM respectively.
