MICHAEL Michael Kors Astor Patchwork Satchel

I am not a big fan of patchworks and studs are so in now they are almost out but this satchel from MICHAEL Michael Kors are somehow impossibly beautiful and more stylish rather than trendy. I think the Astor would still be easy on most eyes even after the studs craze is over. MICHAEL Michael Kors is like the Marc by Marc Jacobs to Marc Jacobs and naturally the price is good. At USD448, all I will say is it is HOT. Available at Nordstrom, which is on FIRE!!!!

Prada Craquele Tote

I had almost ruled out Prada studded bags completely this season until I saw a lady carrying one exactly like this in a Korean restaurant today. In my opinion the studs along the trims are wayy too crowded but on this  white distressed leather with contrasting black trim, everything seems cool and right. I had seen all the Fall/Winter 2009 bags in the Prada store and I am sure I had missed this one. If you plan to get this bag, only get it in this color or suede grey in leather trim, if there is. I dun fancy the price at USD2,800 either but then again it is a heavily studded Prada.

Nancy Gonzalez Studded Python and Croc Satchel

Even Nancy Gonzalez studded her bag and you might ask “how?”, given that the Colombian bag designer does not work with hardware on her purses. The studs in this bag are covered with exotic skin, how cool is that? The material is a combo of Python leather for the body and croc for the handles and on side of the bag.  I also like the suede lining in contrasting salmon skin color. This bag fits perfectly into my definition of a very very hot bag. The shape is classic and it comes with detachable shoulder strap too. Seems like nothing is left out and it is a damn steal at USD3,100!

Marciano Studded Satchel

Yep, this is the Marciano aka Guess(?). If this were their attempt to make a serious bag, i will have to say, they are pretty much on the right track. I am not sure about the quality, have not tested it myself but it definitely qualifies look and originality-wise. I like the gray leather (also available in black) and the studs are done nicely (not overdone as in most Guess / Marciano bags). At USD295, it is a good bargain for a full leather serious bag but it is probably one of the most expensive bags from Guess / Marciano I know. Do you like this?
