Yay or Nay? – Jimmy Choo PVC Ramona Tote

Will you ever buy a transparent PVC designer bag? Turned out Jimmy Choo made one Ramona and I really dun know what to figure out of this. The Ramona is not exactly a beach bag material to begin with. I will say I love the bright yellow color but the plastic and nylon straps in place of the hardwares and the leather straps? The original price was USD1,750 which was like “WTF???”. Even with 52% off at USD836.99, will you get it if you have the moolah?

Yay or Nay? – Fendi Marshmallow Zucca Bag

Are Fendi bags still hot? Maybe the old models such as the Baguette, Spy, Doctor, B and Bag de Jour but i am truly not sure about the newest designs. This Marshmallow bag is cute and looks very comfy to carry and hug but there is an X factor missing from it too. This 95% FF fabric bag is available for pre-order at USD1,050. Do you like it? I am still at borderline on this one.

Missoni Hand-woven Leather Tote – Yay or Nay?

Missoni is known for its knit-wear. The Italian house has built an empire out of knit-wears alone and is very respectable in that aspect so it is interesting to see how it would expand its product range without leaving the legacy too far behind. I am glad to see things are working out well so far. Their perfume collection has the bottles being wrapped in knits, Missoni dresses are mostly knitted and one of the leather handbags for Spring 2009 is also knitted/ woven. The color combo of this bag might be a little too overwhelming to some but it is eye-catching and still works if you keep your outfit simple. This is a nice bag, one the most interesting pieces without trying to hard, i have seen so far for Spring 2009. What say you? Yay or Nay?

Yay or Nay – Bottega Veneta Ponza Fabric Shopper

When you could not have the real thing, you figure out a way to have it the other way, no? Apparently the folks at Bottega Veneta believe so and so they created the Ponza Fabric Shopper. BV is known best for its Interwoven leather bags but with such much-needed craftmanship and materials, the prices of their bags had to start from at least USD1,500 – not everyone could afford one. Seemingly, the other way to have it turns out to be by printing the woven pattern on a canvas. Maybe it is the time too, the way i see it, the house has finally given up to the temptation of appealing to the more mass market clientele. This piece is however still not really cheap at USD1,1,20 from barneys.com although it might make a good resort bag too. Would you get this Bottega Veneta shopper or would rather save up more for the real thing? Yay or Nay?
