D&G Stud Logo Tote

Alexander Wang has not answered my call on making a manbag out of his Rocco but Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana seem to try to compensate it by creating a beautiful full leather tote which looks like a normal tote until you see the bottom of the bag and voila!! What studs are those and this might just be the best way to display a logo on a bag without compromising elegance and subtlety! Now just to add a scope of vanila ice cream to a warm lava cake, the price is USD595, which is insanely irresistible for a full leather, made in Italy D&G tote. Now there are two problems only – I am not looking for another black tote as I have already owned a few totes and black bag so it is not for me but hey! This one is surely a catch. Pre-order from Neiman Marcus for shipment by July.

SJP with Dolce & Gabbana Miss Sicily Bag

The Miss Sicily is one of Dolce & Gabbana most popular bags. Admittedly, they don’t have many as the Italian duo is one of the design houses who still make money mostly from non-leather goods. SJP pulls the bag off very well. I think the whole casual look paired with the bag is a winner. If you like a recognizable bag from a big design house which is not owned by a million others out there, get the Miss Sicily from luisaviaroma.com. Price starts from EUR1,000.

Dolce & Gabbana Sky Crinkled Leather Tote

The first thing that drew my attention to this bag is its color. It might have worked the same on you too. Secondly, the bag does not look like a typical Dolce & Gabbana bag. In fact, the only things that gave it away are the name plate at its side and the leopard print lining of the bag. I like the size too but it is not a bag I am going to highly recommend. If you happen to be looking for a nice bag in this blue color, get it. The bag is still too “fashion” for my liking. This bag is available at bluefly.com for USD1,160 after 20% discount.

D&G Giraffe-Print Beach Tote

Oh…. I could really use a beach holiday now. Not that I am bored or tired with work, in fact I am on fire, but if there were somehow a beach holiday waiting, say in March or April, it would have been perfect. Anyway, for you who are planning one, this tote is such a beauty. The giraffe print is not overwhelming, very D&G, and unlike typical cheap-looking beach bags, this one is looking luxurious and perfect for a beach getaway. Imagine toting this baby in Nice or St. Tropez or Maldives! That would make it a killer. At USD540, it is such a good deal for a beautiful cruise bag. Get it at Saks.

D&G Crystal Covered Satin Vlada Bag

The latest campaign shot of D&G for Fall / Winter 2009 is among my favourites so far this year and the  Vlada bag, especially the one covered with red crystals, stole my attention. It has been a while since the last time I liked a bag from D&G for its originality and also for its big size (24cm x 40cm). If you pay attention, D&G collection has lately progressed to become a more whimsical and grown-up one, hinting that the D&G audience has also matured and expects more than just tees with a big D&G logo yet is still youthful which diffentiate the brand from Dolce and Gabbana. Pre-order the D&G Vlada bag from Luisaviaroma now for shipment by October 2009. The Vlada bags start from Euro491.67 for full leather version to Euro791.67 for the crystal covered version.
