Alexander McQueen Leather Shoulder Bag

Unlike my sis, i like unstructured leather bags that slouch and since my rocker thingy is still not over, this bag appeals to me like honey to the bee. The only thing is that this bag is not big enough to be a man bag. Anyhow, this will go perfectly with a pair of over-the-knee leather boots which is like the new ankle boots. Too bad for you who live in Singapore and its neighborhood. There is no way the over-the-knee boots will be popular here. You could still get the bag from Saks (now ships directly to Singapore too) for USD1,695. Just for your viewing pleasure, the over-the-knee boot is from Juicy Couture, also available at Saks for USD500.

Askme – BFF’s Birthday present

Hi Purseholic Team,

I’d appreciate it if you can give me some suggestions on a great birthday gift for my bestie’s 30th .She loves buying and collecting clutches so I want to get her something a little bit extraordinary in design but within my budget of about SGD400 (USD260). With the coming of GSS (Great Spore Sale) I’m sure clutches won’t cost me that much right? I am no good at such thing so pls give me at least 2 recommendations. It is so sweet that you and your BFF still have the tradition of gift giving for bday. My first suggestion is no brainer. Coach wrislets are excellent deals, classic and inexpensive too. I would suggest get it in less boring colors such as this Bonnie Leather Large Wrislet in pink leather. The price is the States is USD128. I do not think it is available yet in Singapore either so get it at Coach.com via vPost. Another option would be this marked down blue leather clutch from Juicy Couture. The Onassis Clutch is now USD137, down from USD228 at eluxury.com. You could check whether they have it at the Juicy store at Ngee Ann City beforehand. Else, you could use vPost service too.

Juicy Couture Velour Satchels

The brand best known for its pink, girly Velour PJs has evolved to be one of the brands with strongest original concept around. What if high school girls swear by it or if the image of the brand was somehow associated with the likes of Paris Hiltons? At one point of time these girls in Juicy decided to grow up and they are doing a great job at it. For the past few seasons, Juicy collections have evolved to be more grown-up but it does not mean that the girls have to let go of the girly stuffs they once loved. Juicy proves that they could evolve yet still remain true to their heritage (if we may call it so). Both of these Velour bags are all the current Juicy Couture is about. They are still the classic Juicy Coutures with the youthful touches, Velours and signature crown ornaments but the colors royal blue and dark purple suggest that these girls are now turning to Princesses like Grace Kelly rather than Miley Cyrus for style inspirations.
