Kate Spade Bow Bridge Kennedy Bag

The Summer must have ended and the Fall has started to kick in, at least from the fashion point of view of Kate Spade because the color palettes on its bag collection has dulled off. Don’t hold your breathe just yet as It does not necessarily mean things are really going to be dull with bright colors gone. Design, texture and structure usually takes center stage in the last collection of the year and designers tend to work harder for this collection too. The Bow Bridge Kennedy bag appears to me as essentially Kate Spade mostly due to its (guess what?) big bow and the prim and proper style of the bag. I think the ostrich embossed natural color handles create all the much needed differences on an otherwise dull bag. Price is USD445, which is OK but not great. It is not a bag that gets you excited and jumping up and down. It is more a bag that you will sling quietly on your shoulder and have a good afternoon stroll with. A good way to embrace the Fall.

Kate Spade All Typed Up Clyde

This bag reminds me of my first typing lesson back in Junior High where it made me feel so awesome and important. Little did I know that I would be spending most of my waking hours typing in the later years of my life as computer, the Internet and emails have become an unavoidable part of our lives and typewriters belong to the museums now. This bag might not be a boardroom or power lunch material but it is a great conversation piece. Not a classic you say? I bet it will get you a “cute bag” comment now and for the many years to come every time you tote it out to meet some one new. Now is that a classic? The All Typed Up is available at your nearest Kate Spade stores for USD495.

Kate Spade Garden Grove Lauralee Mini Leather Bag

Ever so elegant and feminine, yet intricately designed and produced; I think it is genius to laser-cut gold Italian leather in the pattern of flowers because it is really unique and beautiful. Of course, the last point is one of the things we love most about Kate Spade bags – great price (USD295) for values you find it hard to believe. LOVE this baby!!!

Kate Spade La Casita Josephine

With the amount of stuff a woman has to carry on daily basis, there is no wonder why big bags are selling well. This Kate Spade makes an even more perfect daily bag for its extra 4 pockets to fit smaller items which saves you from having to dig and scoop into your bag just to find that ringing phone or coin pouch to pay that cab. It is still summer now (obviously, with the heat, I do not need a reminder) and this bag in this beautiful kiwi green is a staple piece to perk your outfit up. The La Casita Josephine is available at Kate Spade for USD495.

Kate Spade Cala Luna Mae

Made entirely of Italian snake-embossed cowhide, the Cala Luna is a notch more glam than average Kate Spade bags and I really like it! The shape of the bag is very cute and roomy and the snake skin print is just adding more dimensions and excitement onto the bag. The Cala Luna Mae is a limited-edition bag from Kate Spade and is priced at USD1,250. IMO, a little too pricey compared to other Kate Spade bags.

Kate Spade Windsor Palace Snake Gwendolyn

Inspired by the upscale style of the world’s grandest palace and Queen’s Elizabeth II’s weekend home, the Gwendolyn is a chic and classic. Made of Italian leather with snake-skin emboss treatment, the bag is a luxury without breaking your bank account. I like the contrasting bow at the side which gives a demure feel to the bag without overdoing it. This beautiful piece costs only USD595, also available in silver metallic finish leather.

Kate Spade Sea Worthy Tweed Nelly

We do not feature enough Kate Spade here on purseholic and we should have. This tweed bag stole my attention when I passed by the Kate Spade store at Takashimaya last Saturday. There is everything to love about this bag – the classic shape, youthful design and colors and the tweed material which reminds me of Chanel bags, except for its attractive price at only USD295 (it costs SGD580 in Singapore).  The workmanship of Kate Spade items are impeccable and the items are always in style too. We will see more Kate Spade here for sure. Stay tune!

Kate Spade ‘boerum hill – geraldine’

I can’t seem to get this bag out of my head since I first saw  it last month at the newly renovated Takashimaya Kate Spade store. It could be the color (beautiful shade of green called Verde) or the shape or the size and the design. The boerum hill-geraldine (I dun like the name tho…) also available in black, brown and gorgeous yellow. Anyway, this is one of the best bags under USD500 I have seen in a long time and I think it is worth high recommendation. Available at most Kate Spade stores or Nordstrom for USD425. Excellent deal indeed!!!

Kate Spade ‘Tarrytown-Betty’ Handheld Mini Satchel

Kate Spade’s huge success in the world of handbag is due to her ability to create bags that are practical, fuss-free, non-intimidating and pretty with excellent quality for its price point. It’s been a while since the last bag from Kate got me talking. They are generally nice and pretty but not exactly outstanding. These mini satchels are not exactly out-of-the-box either but they are obviously cute, simple and spoilling in term of colors to choose from. I like the texture of Kate Spade’s signature leather, which is used in this bag. Isn’t this a good replacement to you basic Boston bags? The price is very attractive too at USD295 per pop. It makes you want to get it in the four colors, doesn’t it? There is also Black color but i say, go for the midnight if you fancy black. What are you waiting for? This makes a perfect gift to both yourself and loved ones.
