Versace Red Hot Structured Satchel

Versace accessories were the hottest luxury items back in the 90s. They used to be the ultimate status symbol of wealth, glam and luxury. While Versace dresses still are the among the best on the red carpets, its accessories have been struggling to make a come back. This red hot satchel would have been a super hot item fifteen years ago but it just somehow looks trying too hard for me now. Would you spend SGD2,400 on a bag like this today?

Versace Embossed Leather Hobo

I think my next bag ought to be a hobo. It is not easy to find a great man hobo but I am willing to wait. Versace does not make many bags every season but sometimes they make great bags that are underrated hence unique and rare. This beautiful hobo is made entirely of buttery soft leather. The Medusa logo emboss is so subtle, it  is almost invisible , especially on the white color version of this bag. This baby is part of the Resort collection. Price is around SGD2,300 from Saks.com.

Versace Quilted Handbag

I was just surfing the Harrods site since a friend will be visiting London this weekend and guess what? I stumbled upon this beautiful quilted nappa leather bag from Versace and I think it is a Versace bag to own. Not sure if the price has been discounted but for GBP549. It is an incredibly hot one!

Versace Carla Small Satchel

I think Versace pretty much scored big with bags this season. Look at this adorable satchel! It might be structured but that blue, apple green color and the laser-cut details on the black patent leather are perfect combo and inject a huge dose of youthfulness to the bag. Admittedly Versace bags are not cheap in general but there are not many floating around too making it more unique to own and carry around. The Carla is available for shipping to many countries around the world via Nordstrom.com. The price to Singapore is SGD3,414.

Versus Printed Satin Bag

I have been waiting to see what Christopher Kane would do with Versus and its bags. Well, I am not exactly head-over-heels with this bag but younger crowds would have loved it. I would have, ten years ago but I guess my taste has got even older lately (I think I am 40 now). Back to the bag, despite the fact that I am not 100% excited, I think it embodies the spirit of the Versace Junior – what the brand used to be known as when Donatella was still the designer under the wings of her big brother. When the “Diva” has grown up, the next generation takes over and Kane seems to be doing fine with this job. The bag is made in Italy and costs EUR542 at luisaviaroma.com.

Versace Top Handle Bags

Haha…. Donatella Versace is reviving the classic Versace for the pre-fall. Well with such a wealthy reference from Gianni Versace, I don’t think she could go any wrong. Remember the neon color suits Gianni made back in the 1990s? How about the over-the-top uber glam Medusa-decorated anything that we could not get enough of? I still remember how crazy I was over anything Versace back then even when I was only a teenager. Anyways, these bags are excellent bags to pre-order now and reach you by August. Each bag costs EUR1042.5 including shipping to Singapore via luisaviaroma.com.Take advantage of the cheap EURO now!!!

Versace Sculpted Medusa Leather Hobo

What a perfectly sculpted piece of work from Versace! I think this bag is very hot with its perfect balance between bringing back the brand’s 90′s va-va-voom and being current in today’s trend. It is also such an easy bag to pull off so making it a classic material. The sculpted Medusa Hobo is available at Saks for USD1,795.

Versace Silver and Resin Ring

I sometimes forgot how much I love Versace for its Medusa and all that 90s over-the-top glam. Sure it does not make that many worth-talking bags nowadays but while my fascination on bags was ignited by Gucci, my love for European designers (call it labels, if you like) was by Versace. For some reason, this small thing, which is a big ring sums up everything I like about the Italian label. The ring is a small piece that makes great statement. The Versace Silver and Resin ring is available at net-a-porter for GBP350. A little expensive, yes but it is a classic piece.

Versace Studded-Trim Leather Hobo

If you had thought that this was a Rebecca Minkoff bag, you thought wrong. It is a Versace. It is nice to see Versace making a utilitarian bag that is not over-the-top and is pretty alright to be used as daily bag but at the price tag of SGD2,359, I am going to need many Medusa logos on my Versace bag or some of the Versace pattern quilting, don’t you agree? I had passed this bag as a SGD750 Rebecca Minkoff hobo too.

Gianni Versace Couture Collection

Dainty, demure yet still glam, the Gianni Versace Couture Collection is a classic range of the house of Versace that embodies the spirit of the late founder. Beautiful collection indeed. This is the window display of Versace store in Harbour City @ Canton Road, Kowloon, Hong Kong.
